The Independent Regulatory Review Commission (IRRC) passed new regulations that will strengthen protections on water resources and on drinking water and watersheds from new development projects. These new rules fall under Title 25, in the PA code, Chapter 102, Erosion and Sedimentation Control. This Chapter 102 Training Session is geared for developers, plan preparers, consultants, municipalities, builders, landscape architects, and all others who are involved in earth disturbance activities. The agenda includes the following: · A detailed powerpoint on the new Chapter 102 regulations · A review of the new permitting forms · A Q & A with trainer Barbara Beshore and a DEP program staff person Barbara Beshore who headed the Erosion and Sediment Control and NPDES Permitting Section in DEP will be conducting the training. Her section was responsible for the rewrite of the Chapter 102 regulations and the training in those regulations. She recently retired after 32 years as a trainer and regulatory staff person and is now an independent regulatory training consultant in Harrisburg.
