OSHA requires that employers on construction sites conduct safety inspections of job sites and require that a Competent Person, designated by the employer, be responsible for the completion of the inspections. More specifically a Competent Person is required to complete inspections of scaffolds, fall protection equipment and systems, trenches, confined spaces, and the list goes on.
Benefits of Attending:
- Defining a Competent Person and their role on a jobsite
- When and how often to complete inspections
- The connections between the General Contractor, Sub-contractor and the Competent Person
- How does this general requirement for site inspections tie-in to more specific inspection requirements found in other standards
