As of September 23, 2017, OSHA's Silica regulations have been put into place, and employers are required to have a Competent Person to oversee the day to day operations and to minimize the exposures related to respirable crystalline silica.
The course will review OSHA's requirements for a silica competent person. This will include a review of the standard, the responisbilities of the employer and the role of competent person, and the recognition of and mitigation methods to be used to address silica exposures at job sites.
