As of April 22, 2010 federal law required that any contractor performing renovation, repair and painting (RRP) projects that disturb more than six square feet of paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978, MUST be certified and trained to follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.
This four hour course and certification will allow students to maintain qualification as a Certified Renovator, as required by the EPA for renovations involving lead-based paint in housing built prior to 1978. Students successfully completing this course will receive a Renovator Certificate good for five (5) years.
